David’s 35-year career has spanned work with the Department of Lands, National Parks and Wildlife, accountancy and real estate firms; capped off with almost a decade purely in the strata management arena at SMS Strata Management Group.
Never drifting from the land, environment and property industries, his career progression has been single-minded.
After more than 25 years in business, he added to his impressive skill set by gaining a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) at Charles Stuart University, Bathurst, by correspondence while maintaining a full time job.
He started with SMS in 2004 as a Strata Manager, becoming the Licensee three years later. In 2011, he was appointed Senior Strata Manager as the business strategically acquired a large strata management firm in Coffs Harbour.
A passion for information technology has meant SMS Strata Management Group benefits not only from David’s wisdom in areas of strata and community projects, law and accounting, but also in IT administration. His grounding as a Cartographer means he understands the devil is in the detail.
Married with two adult children and a Coffs Harbour local of some 13 years, David now has some time to improve his lawn bowls and indulge his love of the Far North Coast in weekends away four-wheel driving and camping.
His favourite strata client is one who serves the best AGM afternoon tea!
